Karissa is a multiple U.S. Adult Sectional qualifying medalist, 3 time U.S. Adult National Medalist and the 2018 U.S. Masters National Champion, as well as the 2023 International Masters Artistic Champion. A former University of Michigan Intercollegiate Competitor, and former South Atlantic Regional Competitor, she's been professionally coaching since 2000, was member of Professional Skaters Assoc. and current Registerd Coach with US Figure Skating since 2007.  Karissa is Master Accredited in Group Instruction, Senior Accredited in Skating Skills and holds a Level 2 Accredidation in Freestyle. She's taught competitive and qualifying skaters to Eastern Great Lakes Regionals, US Adult Sectionals, U.S. Adult Nationals, ISU Adult International competition, and U.S. National Showcase.  

Karissa is a Gold Medalist in Moves in the field, and passed Novice Freestyle tests. She teaches children and adult skaters of all ages for Freestyle, Skating Skills, Edge Drills, and Program Construction.
